There are two memorials at RAF Hemswell Station Memorial The first - Station - memorial was dedicated on 6 Sep 1995, to all who served at RAF Hemswell from 1936-1967. It features a bronze eagle perched on a concrete pillar with the Station crest. This is set into a flagstones with inset slate stones bearing the crests of Hemswell's Sqns (including the Polish 300, 301, and 305 Squadrons). THis in turn is flanked by two oak benches and surrounded by a low wall. It is located next to the parade square. 170 Sqn Memorial The separate 170 Sqn memorial is In memory of those who did not return
1944-1945. It was erected by the Squadron reunion association and dedicated
in June 1985.
