"I have a photograph of my uncle John Lonsdale Swanson and other crew
Members taken standing in front of a twin engined aircraft, did 619
sqdn only ever fly Lancasters or did they convert from a twin engine
aircraft. Here is the flight crew for Squadron 619. The inset is Sgt. Leslie George Weir, age 19, RAF-Volunteer Reserve Service #1894060. Son of Robert and Mary Weir of Greenwich, London. F/O Frederick Leonard Meredith [center front] age 20, RCAF-Air Bomber Service #J/38814. The unidentified crew members are as follows: • F/O Robert Harry Schaefer, age 22 RCAF-Pilot, service #J/35883. Son of Mr & Mrs Harry D. Schaefer of Hanover, Ontario • F/O Philip Peter Awad, age 21 RCAF-Navigator, Service #J/39979. Son of Paul & Catherine Awad of Detriot, Michigan. • Sgt.
